This is the link to the video showing 4th graders putting together quadrangle maps of the part of Douglas County that is farmed by our cooperating farmers in the Short-Horned Lizard project. Notice how they begin to see how he maps are labeled with township and range and how they use landmarks to put the maps in the correct places. They are developing their spatial intelligence which will be necessary when helping the farmers mark horny toad sightings on paper and computer maps.
